Job Description

- Consistently follows safe work practices and adhere to all company policies such as PPE and LOTO.
- Keep all tools and equipment in good working order.
- Keep work areas organized and clean utilizing the concepts of 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) on a daily basis.
- Attend all departmental meetings and must be able to work required overtime hours, sometimes on short notice.
- Assist the shift supervisor with trouble shooting processes and overseeing shift activities.
- Communicate with coworkers in a timely and informative way using verbal and written such as updating SMED log.
- Responsible for following and troubleshooting master set up.
- Work in a team environment to ensure that production goals are being met.
- Ability to do plant start up or shut down.
- Responsible to review daily processing and tooling issues, verify master process, communicate and coordinate root cause information for controllable solutions.
- Responsible for performance of insert changes, and preventive maintenance on production molds as well as clean, inspect and lubrication of molds running in production.
- Successful completion of robot training program to support daily use of robotics (safety, start up, shut down, EOAT, programming, trouble shooting, etc.)
- Preform in an accurate and timely basis startup of machines, mold changes, insert changes and purge out machines for colors changes.
- Set up, maintain injection molding, compression molding and auxiliary equipment.
- Set up, maintain and troubleshoot injection molding and auxiliary equipment.
- Suggest improvements when appropriate, and assist with problem solving and implement preventative actions through continuous improvement.
- Perform routine safety inspections
- Report all injuries, near misses or safety concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Perform other job duties as required.
