What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collect and analyze applicant information to determine loan eligibility and risk
- Assess creditworthiness and issue pre-qualification statements
- Advise customers on the best mortgage loan programs for their needs
- Market and promote the bank's mortgage products to cultivate new business
- Negotiate loan terms and conditions with borrowers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associates degree and 2 years of sales experience, OR a minimum of 4 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience, including 2 years of sales experience
- Thorough knowledge of FHA/VA regulations, conventional loan requirements, and real estate law
- Strong mathematical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proven sales ability
- General knowledge of personal computers and software programs utilized by Residential Mortgage Department
