- Deliver IT solutions that are aligned with enterprise IT and QC Lab goals
- Influence life cycle decisions and establish of appropriate processes to ensure Lilly IT evolves to achieve future architecture direction.
- Deep understanding of IT Tools used by the M&Q Laboratories, the configuration of those tools, and how these tools interact to support the business processes and anticipate short term and future needs.
- Provide guidance on validation and test strategy, leverage the use of automation testing where applicable.
- Work with Global Quality Laboratories leadership (GQL), site IT Team, and Enterprise IT architecture on cross-organizational projects.
- Use Robotic Process Automation tools to maximize the efficiency of lab processes.
- Ensure application compliance to Lilly Standards and Quality rules. Write, or oversee creation of validation documentation for the supported systems.
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert with vendors and external partners.
- Responsible for the resolution of any problems and incidents for the supported solutions in compliance with applicable processes and provide oversight to the Tier 1 support team.
- Use of analytics to enable business, this includes reports and dashboards.
- Minimum 4-6 years of relevant manufacturing or QC Lab IT experience
- Knowledge of QC Lab operations or Manufacturing operations
- Hands on experience in supporting Lab applications like LES, LIMS, ELN, CDS
- Understanding of Data Solutions and visualizations
- Knowledge of S95 Architecture Model
- Ability to thrive in a complex, changing, virtual environment with multiple manufacturing sites.

- Previous experience working with Windows, Linux and Oracle platforms.
- Experience with automation testing (Unified Functional Testing) and robotic process automation.
- Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience
- Experience with interfacing automated equipment with Lab systems
- Experience with automation control and robotics
- Understanding of Agile methodology
- Experience with HP ALM and coding platforms like GitHub
- Travel to US or other Lilly entities may be required.
- After hours support due to manufacturing 24/7 operations may be required

Position Description:
The Global Lab Information and Data Solutions (IDS) team delivers and maintains applications that support the Global Lab organization at Lilly. This team is part of the broader Manufacturing and Quality (M&Q) IDS organization that continues to transform as we look to the digital plant of the future and support manufacturing operational excellence and productivity efforts maximizing the use of technology and analytics.
The Global Lab IDS team works in partnership with the Global Lab business central and site representatives to define business needs and provide solutions for Lab. This team is responsible for the support and solution delivery of IT tools that support the Global Lab business application portfolio, such as LIMS, LES, ELN, CDS, and Lab intelligence solution.
A key role in the Global Lab organization is the MQ IDS Labs Solution Delivery and Support Engineer position. This position will focus on the following key elements: -Deploy and maintain custom and off the shelf solutions in the Manufacturing Analytical Laboratories as well as creating visualizations and optimizing process though automation.
