About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically rigorous candidate who will focus on mRNA synthesis, mRNA characterization, and supporting Sanofi mRNA vaccine programs. This position will give the successful candidate exposure across a broad range of mRNA therapeutic applications and functions within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR POSITION

In this role you will….

• Independently design and execute decision-quality research

• Responsible for synthesis, purification, and characterization of synthetic mRNA

• Provide subject matter expertise in mRNA technology to internal project teams and committees

• Contribute to platform projects by developing, evaluating, and implementing new technologies and optimizing existing workflows

• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations to management and other stakeholders

• Function in a highly collaborative team

• Supervise junior team members as needed

• This will be primarily a lab-based position

COMPETENCIES / REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION

About you

• Ph.D. with 0-3 years of post-graduate experience in a related field (e.g. cell or molecular biology, biochemistry, chemical or biomedical engineering, biotechnology).

• Desire to work in a team-first, fast-paced environment, learn new skills, and to efficiently solve problems.

• Attention to detail and meticulous record keeping.

• Strong communication skills with experience working in a highly collaborative environment.

• Molecular biology: RNA synthesis (in vitro transcription), RNA isolation, plasmid purification and digestion, qPCR, ddPCR, capillary & gel electrophoresis.

• Deep knowledge and insights in RNA biology and secondary structure..

• Previous experience with mRNA synthesis and mRNA vaccines is a plus.
