  MS Defender Consultant
  Plano TX or Johnston, RI, but remote in the US is also an option.
  12+ Month Contract
  
  Responsibilities:
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat intelligence, and Microsoft security tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender products like Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, and other related technologies.
  • Experience with security operations, threat hunting, and incident response.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and security practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing environments (e.g., Azure, AWS) is required.
  • Familiarity with Endpoint technologies platforms, architectures, and their deployment strategies.
  • Experience in Deploying, configuring, and managing Microsoft Defender platform
  • Experience in Migrating On-prem Symantec Endpoints or similar technologies to MS Defender
  • Configuring endpoint security policies, configurations, and compliance controls to ensure robust endpoint protection
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: AZ-500/MS-500, SC-100, SC-300 etc.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in relevant areas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain documentation for security policies, configurations, and procedures, and report on security performance metrics.
