      The Internal Audit Team works to ensure that our organisation conducts its business such that we protect our reputation, our business, and our clients within the regulatory and legal framework.

      Analysts in the Data Analytics team in Internal Audit are responsible for supporting the team in the execution and delivery of audit engagements. You will be supporting the team in designing and developing ways to automate and reimagine audits, and support the department in developing audit solutions by implementing innovative technologies.

      What to Expect

      Internal Audit team is MUFG’s independent assurance provider (or third line), actively contributing to effective organisational governance and providing assurance on the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal controls, including the manner in which the first and second line business areas achieve risk management and control objectives.

      Key responsibilities of the Analyst role within the Data Analytics team in Internal Audit will include assisting the team on the following:

      • Data management, including data extraction and data cleansing processes.
      • Analytics and reporting, including visualisation of data to help the organisation establish and manage the right processes, risks and controls to improve decision-making.
      • Support in advanced analytics, where we use data science techniques to help the organisation navigate future risks and opportunities through predictive and prescriptive analytics.
      • Keeping the team and Senior Managers informed of the progress made on work assigned.
      • Developing knowledge of the portfolios covered by Internal Audit, and the organisation.
      • Building and maintaining a ‘trusted advisor’ relationship with stakeholders within audit engagements.
      • Developing an appreciation of data analysis and management, and acting as one the drivers for a successful risk and control culture.
      • Working collaboratively with Internal Audit colleagues regionally and globally

      Our 18 month Analyst Programme starts with a comprehensive training programme designed to develop a sound understanding of Internal Audit methodology and approach, the strategic objectives of all our businesses in EMEA, our clients, products, processes, systems and controls.

      Equipped with newfound knowledge, you’ll start with the Data Analytics team in Internal Audit where you’ll gain hands-on work experience. Right from day one, you’ll become an integral member of the team and will be given meaningful work to complete, allowing you to start building your experience and expertise within your chosen field.
