  MuleSoft Developer -Hybrid

  As our MuleSoft Developer, you will help us smoothly and efficiently integrate newly developed features and applications.

  What You’ll Do

  
  

  Every day, you will work on one of two aspects of this job: operations or development, depending on our current sprint or other business needs at the time.

  During operations work, you will be working on the platform, maintaining it so outages are minimal, troubleshooting, repairing if there is a failure, recovering if there are issues with replicas in MuleSoft, etc. You will also be doing security or operating system patches, deploying code into production (opening firewalls, etc.), and participating in large-scale design discussions.

  During development work, you will use Jira to get your story. You will communicate with the team making the request to understand exactly what they need to implement and do some whiteboard work to get the architecture exactly right. You’ll make a RAML (RESTful API Modeling Language) file and work in Anypoint Studio to develop the API. Once it is working, you’ll do thorough testing, functional integration, and performance testing using Postman.

  To thrive in this role, you must communicate effectively with others. You will be working with teams from every corner of the company. You will have to understand their precise needs and communicate if and how you can help. Some people are more tech-savvy than others and you will have to ensure everyone is on the same page.

  You need experience working on large-scale production systems with thousands of users connected concurrently. You should be very familiar with the needs and challenges of a system that can support thousands of users at any given time.

  You have worked with .NET or Java before, not just MuleSoft or APIs, although experience with that is also required. You’re good with ESQL, REST, SOAP, and HTTP and you know when to use each protocol. You know how applications work on the application side versus the integration side. You know how it will work on desktop versus middleware.

  You have worked previously with an Agile team or understand these concepts. You expect to participate in daily standup meetings, you’ll complete your projects or stories during our sprints, and you’ll be ready to meet frequent deployment deadlines.
