Job Description
- Req#: 24625
- You will perform 3D field simulations of novel packaging concepts and give recommendations on layout optimization based on electrical, thermal, and mechanical performances.
- With this, you will take an active part in the virtual prototype development of next generation power modules, work out physics-based models for Si and SiC power modules.
- Overall, you will develop and standardize simulation methodologies, speed up simulation processes by automation, and validate models with measurement results.
- As a member of the R&D team, you will be working closely with the teams in Flensburg, Nürnberg and locally in Munich and you will engage in the global Danfoss simulation community.
- Understanding of power electronics and semiconductor devices
- Experience in using FEM tools such as ANSYS Electronics Desktop, Fluent, Icepak, Comsol Multiphysics
- Good knowledge in a programming language, e.g. Python, Java, C#, C++, Matlab
- Knowledge in machine learning, AI, or data analytics is a plus
- Structured way of thinking and working with ability to identify problems and find appropriate solutions
- Fluent English language skills

For the Semikron-Danfoss Technology Center, we are currently looking for a Multiphysics Simulation Engineer (m/w/d) within the Power Electronics R&D group. In this position, you will be working on customized power modules, take responsibility for simulations and grow expertise in respect to Multiphysics interactions.Job Responsibilities

For this position you hold a Master or PhD Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field and bring first experience from electromagnetic/thermal/mechanical modeling within a research or industrial environment. You have experience in simulation algorithms development, parametric analysis, optimization, and/or simulation automation.
