      Internship Overview:

      An internship within Wasserman’s Music Division is designed to give participants a wide-ranging introduction to the inner workings of a booking agency. From understanding the role of the agent in the industry ecosystem to examining the life cycle of a performance, the experience provides an opportunity to shadow and learn from our talented and hardworking employees. For anyone interested in gaining greater insight into the live performance side of the music industry, this is an ideal place to start.

      Participants in Wasserman Music’s internship program are integrated into projects and tasks our full-time staff works on daily. We provide a broad overview of concepts and practices, along with specific training on day-to-day duties. Together, these serve as learning opportunities as well as a knowledge base to equip participants with the tools to execute those responsibilities in real time.

      Interns can expect to learn about and participate in a variety of areas, including:

      • Generating tour itineraries, gathering show details, and creating ticketing reports to gain an understanding of tour routings, client service, and professional communication
      • Reviewing on-sale ticket and performance information to acquire insight about tour marketing
      • Records management, database maintenance, and overall workflow in the field of concert event planning and organization

      • Well-developed organizational, time management, and communication (written/oral) skills
      • Computer literacy (Mac) and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc)
      • A passion for the music/entertainment industry, ideally in the live performance space
