Developing and implementing a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
Providing instruction in music theory, music history, and instrumental technique.
Organizing and overseeing rehearsals, performances, and other band-related events, both on and off-campus.
Collaborating with other music faculty members to coordinate performances and events.
Recruiting and retaining students for the band program through outreach efforts and participation in recruitment events.
Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.
Managing the band budget and equipment inventory.
Attending professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in music education.
Summer band camp, rehearsals and performances.
Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field.
Valid PA teaching certification/license in Music Education.
Experience teaching and directing high school band ensembles preferred.
Proficiency in conducting various musical genres, including classical, jazz, and contemporary.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Knowledge of music technology and its integration into the curriculum is a plus.
Willingness to contribute to the extracurricular life of the school community.

Full-time contracted Music Teacher / High School Band Director position for the 2024-2025 school year.
Salary and benefits in accordance with terms of the East Penn Education Association collective bargaining agreement.
