      Job Type Description
      The successful applicant will teach the fundamental principles of music to students in assigned grades, along with other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities include providing students with the opportunity to learn and explore different musical skills, opportunities to perform and attend performances, and developing an awareness of culture and history through music.

      Qualifications include at least a bachelor's degree in music education, state teaching license, effective classroom management skills, a musical instrument or vocal proficiency, strong background in music theory, the ability to work well with children of all ages and with colleagues, enthusiasm and excitement for music to help instill a desire to learn, and the ability to participate in extracurricular activities or after hours for work-related activities.


      Salary Schedule
      Berkeley Co. Teacher Pay Scale based on degree level and verified years of experience

      Specialized Skills
      Holds or can obtain West Virginia teacher certification in music for assigned grade levels.

      Additional Job Information
