      Job Title: Narrative Designer
      Location: Pawtucket, RI
      Duration: 09 Months on W2

      Job Description:

      In this role, you would be tasked with crafting on-brand copy as part of the Board Games Product Design team. This would include developing themes and narratives for new games, writing package copy, game rules, and game content. You would work with an outstanding cross-functional team of Graphic Designers, Game Designers, Engineers, Project Managers, Product Managers, and Marketers to bring new, exciting games to market.

      A Day in the Life of a Narrative Designer...
      • Develop themes, narratives, and tone to drive narrative-based game experiences
      • Craft compelling and on-brand package copy, including names and tagline
      • Create engaging, audience-centric game content, including researching, fact-checking, and managing editorial and legal/PR review and liaising with licensors
      • Collaborate with Game Designers to develop, test, and refine gameplay, then craft accurate, accessible game rules and reference material
      • Collaborate with graphic designers to produce on-trend, on-brand packaging, unboxing experiences, communication, and game components
      • Be an active, creative member of a cross-functional team, participating in and/or leading brainstorms, approval meetings, and status meetings
      • Be prepared for the unexpected, have fun every day, and of course, play lots of games!

      • Solid technical and editorial skills
      • The ability to pair copy with visual elements
      • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
      • The aptitude and flexibility to pivot quickly in a lively, collaborative environment
      • The ability to work independently, collaboratively, or as a project lead
      • Proven time/project management skills with ability to multi-task
      • Outstanding attention to detail and dedication to accuracy
      • Curiosity and a motivation to learn
      • A love of games
      • Knowledge of information design is a plus

      Required Education : Bachelor of Arts in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, or equivalent related experience required
      Required Years of Experience: Minimum 2-5 years experience in a copywriting or editorial position in consumer products, magazine/book publishing, or related fields
