- Undertake a proactive role in the development of PNG and Pacific Island sales strategies in conjunction with the PNG Liner team in ANL Head Office (Melbourne) and Oceania Agency Management team
- Explore and create opportunities to increase ANL and CMA CGM PNG client base and projecting ANL and CMA CGM as a preferred shipper in the market and region
- Assist with the direction of agents to create and exploit opportunities for increasing the level and profitability of cargo carried and other business opportunities for ANL
- Develop and lead the ANL Agencies PNG commercial strategy in alignment with overall ANL & CMA CGM Oceania Strategies and in line with parameters and budgets agreed with Principals/Lines/Trade Management
- Review key commercial KPIs on a monthly basis and recommend key action plans to address impending issues to ensure optimum management of markets
- Ensure that subordinate staff are appropriately skilled to perform the tasks required and recommend appropriate training and development
- Identify training requirements of PNG Sales team and wider PNG team; help and support facilitating and driving implementation of training to upskill direct and indirect reports
- Minimum tertiary qualification in a related discipline – i.e. business, international business, commerce, marketing, etc.
- At least 5-8 years of experience in shipping, supply chain/logistics
- Fluent in English with well-developed written and verbal communication skills – the ability to liaise with a broad spectrum of people
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management role
- Proven track record in setting and achieving budgets in a similar industry
- Highly proficient user of Office 365 suite with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports
