      Job Summary:

      The Manager, National Tax Operations is responsible for participating in and overseeing a variety of strategic initiatives and tax projects that support the vision, mission, and strategy of the consolidated tax practice. With an emphasis on follow through, execution, and accountability, The Manager, National Tax Operations will collaborate with others to direct the design, planning, and execution of projects, while aligning project objectives to business goals.


      Job Duties:

      • Develops new detailed project plans encompassing key tasks, milestones, and critical path activities to meet tax practice initiatives
      • Coordinates the execution of activities by identifying and collaborating with team members to execute operational goals
      • Supports the project/program management role (definition of schedule, budget, risk, change, opportunity, and resource allocation management) for projects
      • Acts as functional resource as needed on projects
      • Supports execution of continuous improvement plans
      • Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems
      • Reviews current processes and develops action plans to address key areas for improvement
      • Supports strategic tax communication initiatives aimed to standardize messaging
      • Assists leadership with the rollout of firm-wide professional development initiatives
      • Other duties as required

      Supervisory Responsibilities:

      • Acts as mentor to practice and team members, as appropriate


      Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree, required; focus in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Accounting, preferred

      Experience:

      • Three (3) or more years of project management experience, required
      • One (1) or more years of experience in drafting and creating effective internal and external written communication, required
      • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining tax processes preferred
      • Experience in collecting, analyzing, and reporting metrics, preferred

      License/Certifications:

      • PMP Certification, preferred

      Software:

      • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word, required
      • Proficiency with PowerBI, preferred
      • Proficiency with Smartsheet, preferred
      • Proficiency with PeopleSoft and OneStream, or experience with similar corporate management software, preferred

      Language:

      • N/A

      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Analytical and diagnostic skills
      • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
      • Capable of working within a deadline-driven environment and handing multiple projects simultaneously
      • Solid organizational skills with the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details and quality
      • Ability to adapt communication style to successfully convey messages and objectives to a diverse audience

      Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

      National Range: $79,800 - $168,000
      California Range: $79,800 - $168,000
      Colorado Range: $79,800 - $168,000
      NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $79,800 - $168,000
      Washington Range: $79,800 - $168,000
