- Leverage FP's and WSP USA's technical experience to enhance current and new service offerings.
- Advance the strategic growth direction of the Navy environmental program and position for sustained and continued growth.
- Manages client coordination and cross-selling efforts across all business lines in coordination with Region, District, National Business Lines, Marketing Excellence Center and Pursuit Management.
- Generate leads, assess new markets, and develop new business opportunities for Navy projects/programs.
Participate in federal business growth strategy development and execution. - Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in consulting, engineering, program management and/or business development to the federal government (DOD), with at least 5 years’ experience working with Navy operations.
- Strong knowledge and overall understanding of Navy clients, US contracting industry, knowledge of Federal budgeting, and industry business drivers and motivators.
- Experience leading strategy and marketing for Federal acquisitions; demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams and a variety of stakeholders, and in developing and executing strategies to deliver business results.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of servicing client needs and effective program planning and execution.
- Demonstrated track record of managing large and complex opportunities and pursuits.
- Strong business development skills with attention to win strategies and differentiators.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to communicate and under limited time constraints.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in environmental regulations and compliance.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Active DOD Security Clearance is preferred.
This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Navy Environmental Project Director in WSP USA Inc.’s (WSP) Earth and Environment (E&E) Business Line with the potential to work out of WSP’s San Diego, CA office, or other location.This is a leadership role overseeing our U.S. Navy environmental business for WSP and will include involvement and oversight of existing Navy (NAVFAC) environmental contracts, include involvement in projects/programs with our WSP E&E Team, and be a part of a growing organization that meets our Navy client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
The WSP E&E Navy Environmental Project Director will primarily focus on overseeing environmental project managers who lead teams in the execution of environmental services under Federal contracts, nationwide. The role will simultaneously focus on growing the WSP E&E Team’s NAVFAC Environmental business/program across all of NAVFAC’s Echelon Commands worldwide, working closely with WSP E&E’s overall Federal Environment Business Line Lead, WSP E&E staff, and with WSP’s Federal Programs Director of Navy Programs for all WSP USA Inc.This includes delivering our environmental service capabilities to include environmental consulting, planning, and permitting, environmental engineering services, air quality and multi-media environmental assessment, impact, and compliance services, environmental due diligence, natural and cultural resource management services, and encroachment management services; as well as focusing on enhancing and strengthening relationships to drive new business opportunities.
The position will work with operations, delivery, and strategic growth leaders across all sectors, as well as with regional and national leadership, to position WSP as the preferred and trusted choice for Navy environmental clients, and employees.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $166,200 - $255,860
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
