- NMC Registration (Adult or Childrens Nurse)
- Experience in neonatal care (further training will be provided)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Competent in giving IV medications
- Competent, or willing to gain competence, to take peripheral blood samples
- Experience of supervising non-registered staff
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, family-centred care
- Excel in prioritising and delegating workload
- Able to manage a caseload of patients

- Demonstrate an ability to prioritise own workload and recognise, prioritise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations
- Dexterity and accuracy in undertaking clinical skills, use of equipment and documentation
- Competent and capable of using medical equipment
- Able to undertake patient and non-patient manual handling manoeuvres
