What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

- Preparation and review of NEPA and planning documents and oversight of documents prepared by other staff and consultants
- Coordinate in-house technical tasks for compliance with baseline schedules
- Evaluate impacts from transportation projects on the built, cultural and natural environment
- Contribute to traffic noise modeling and studies
- Contribute to freight planning studies

What is Required (Qualifications):

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Planning, Engineering or a related field, Master’s degree is a plus
- Demonstrated working knowledge of NEPA, including coordination of supporting technical studies
- Similar environmental consultation experience related to transportation projects with TxDOT and/or other linear projects preferred
- Aptitude for maintaining a professional attitude and attention to detail while working alone, within a team environment, and/or on multiple projects, simultaneously
- Excellent technical writing, computer, and verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

- AICP Certification desired
- Familiarity with schedule management software a plus
- Proficiency with Traffic Noise Modeling (TNM) is a plus
- Local candidates are preferred for this position
