Utilize .NET 8.0 for the re-design and maintenance of new store-facing platforms
Working on full stack 50/50 back and front-end development
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements
Testing and deploying applications while ensuring high performance and security
Developing scalable and maintainable code that adheres to coding standards
Investigate, review and recommend new emerging technologies and tools
Communicate on technical issues with all stakeholders in a clear manner
Degree/diploma in computer science, web development or equivalent experience
2-3 years working experience in web application development
High proficiency in .NET 8.0 and C#
Experience with building and hosting web applications in MS Azure
Experience building Angular or React web applications
Excellent knowledge of web-based programming languages including JavaScript and ASP.NET
Some experience with HTML, CSS, jQuery, AJAX, Bootstrap and XML
Some exposure to writing and optimizing SQL queries
Experience in eCommerce projects an asset
Experience in building mobile apps (web and native) is an asset
Experience with unit testing is an asset
Able to clearly communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
Passionate about learning and sharing knowledge
Proven ability to work with shifting priorities and with minimal supervision
What you’ll do
The Web Developer (.NET) will be an expert in using dynamic programming tools and languages that build web applications that are efficient, secure, and function to set standards for Canadian Tire’s Retail Communications Platform. Your role will be to develop applications and test them on various browsers, enhancing and modifying them as necessary to ensure the best experience for the user.
In partnership with the Manager, Store Systems, the Web Developer is responsible for the timely delivery of projects by defining and coordinating work priorities with the Senior Developers.
