Delivery of city/regional carbon reduction programmes;
Development of carbon management strategies, including net zero strategies;
Carbon footprint and greenhouse gas reporting;
Identification and assessment of energy savings;
Estates decarbonisation plan and heat decarbonisation plans; and
Net zero programme management and delivery.
Ability to review, analyse and benchmark energy performance in the built environment;
Competent user of data management software (for example Excel) and systems for data cleansing, management, analytics, and quality assurance;
Ability to scope retrofit projects and identify potential technical solutions;
Experience in conducting building energy audits to an approved standard;
Client support and stakeholders management;
Attention to detail in service delivery, communications, and working with others;
Demonstrably excellent analytic and communication skills - we believe in the use of quality data to drive objective decision making;
Experience in carbon emission calculations; and
Consultancy experience would be an advantage as would experience of winning work and inputting into proposals/bids.
A cooperative team member supporting team members in the successful delivery of projects;
Capable of completing tasks and activities with minimal supervision, taking responsibility for your own time management and ability to work towards overall project timescales and potentially tight deadlines;
Expected to support business generation activities where required, such as bid writing and developing marketing material;
Interested in building strong, professional client relationships and identifying and resolving client’s issues;
Able to analyse information quickly and efficiently, choose or recommend from a range of options and make decisions where the parameters are unclear and judgement needs to be exercised;
Aside from accepting personal responsibility for the quality and commercial delivery aspects of your work you will be expected to develop skills and share knowledge within the whole consulting practice; and
Well organised and methodical, with good attention to detail.
Suitably qualified in a related subject or appropriate industry experience;
Project management experience;
Client and stakeholder management experience;
Delivery of energy audits in organisations of all sizes;
Familiarity with BS EN 16247 or ISO 50002 (desirable); and
Working towards elevant chartership or professional membership (e.g. CIBSE, IEMA, IEE) EPC, ESOS and DEC certified (desirable);

Our Sustainability team specialises in helping client organisations to measure, manage and reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions and achieve wider sustainability aims.

The role
We are seeking individuals with experience and knowledge in energy auditing, energy management consulting and/or real estate decarbonisation to boost our resources in supporting our Real Estate Net Zero and Sustainability team.
As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to work, amongst others, on the Greater London Authority’s Business Climate Challenge programme, providing energy data analysis, building energy audits, and net zero routemaps to small and medium sized enterprises in London. In addition, you will also work on other Real Estate Net Zero commissions, supporting our global customers on their decarbonisation journey.
We are looking to appoint more than one individual to this role and are looking for talents with experience to perform at a Consultant, Senior, or Principal grade.
