Job Description

- Installation of various equipment including Switches, Routers and related to Network and communication.
- Provides security hardening on switches and routers in turn decreasing susceptibility to threats.
- Configures switches on the network to ensure maximum user accessibility.
- Assists in design of network architectures and implementation of network switches.
- Maintains / installs Cisco/Juniper Routers and Switches.
- Provides basic administration of all Cisco/Juniper Routers/Switches.
- Rack and manage network devices such as Cisco Router and Switches, Barracuda web and spam filter and Dell Equal Logic.
- Standardized network infrastructure by deploying Cisco ASA and LAN switches
- Staged new switches and servers for remote branch office
- Install and configure Cisco routers and switches, VLANs, VPNs, security
- Work with Information Security to perform routine security analysis to initiate firewall changes, security updates or implement infrastructure changes
- Assist other Network Administrators in firewall management and intrusion prevention and detection of external gateways using Barracuda.
- Experience establishing and configuring Enterprise Active Directory including firewall settings, group policies, and user/device accounts.
- Network administration including user account management, firewall, office systems and applications.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Assist with the administration of network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Assist with the creation and implementation of network policies and procedures
- Manage user accounts and permissions in accordance with company policy
- Perform regular backups of critical data and systems
- Assist senior staff with more complex tasks such as network design and capacity planning
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 support as needed
- Escalate issues to senior staff as necessary
- Train and mentor junior staff as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- CompTIA Network+
- Certified Network Computer Technician (CCT)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Juniper Networks Certification Program (JNCP)
- 5-7 years of Networking Experience
- Must be able to work 1 2hr shifts | ‘Panama’ type schedule | Rotational Days and Nights
- Experience in the following:
- OSI Models
- IPV4
- IPV6
- Out-of-box full installation
- Configure Network and Device Security - network security
- Configure Firewalls
- Cisco/Juniper Switches and Routers
- Cisco/Juniper Switches and Routers - in-band and out-of-band management access
- Cisco/Juniper Switches - LAN switches
- Switch Boot Process- LAN switch boot process
- Boot Process - Cisco router boot process
- Cisco/Juniper IOS Command Line - full use
- IOS Navigation - Cisco/Juniper IOS modes
- View Device Information Use show commands to monitor device operation
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is seeking a Network Administrator III to be a part of a geographically dispersed team responsible for the management of a network and related computer systems and provides technical assistance and training to system users. This position is located at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota.
