      We have a great opportunity for a Senior Electronic Security Technician to join our team in Lower Hutt!

      What you will do:

      • To design and deliver high-level electronic security systems, including installation, commissioning, and fault finding (CCTV, access control, intruder detection, duress, intercom systems, and associated networking), for government and commercial clients.

      How you will do it:

      • Ensure all works are conducted to the highest health & safety and quality standards

      • Scope and peer review new security solutions or upgrades of current security installations and associated networks

      • Review project materials prior to and during key commit stages such as procurement, scheduling, pre-building, shipping, and project delivery to ensure all information and equipment meets or exceeds the minimum standards required for high quality delivery of all works

      • Commission, install, fault-find, and carry out software management tasks on security systems and associated networks

      • Work closely with Project Management and Operations teams to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within or under budget

      • Contribute to the company’s technical strategy and product roadmap by identifying suitable product lines which will add value to our customer

      • Coordinate with the Operations team with regards to facilitating suitable training pathways in respect of the above

      • Mentoring and training of technical resources

      • Preparation, review and audit of supporting documents, i.e. cable schedules, config sheets, as-builts for completed projects, and support for other team members to do the same

      • Review and audit of safety materials and mentor towards improvement where required

      What we look for:

      • High level of expertise and certification in key product platforms

      • Certification and experience in major enterprise security platforms, including but not limited to Gallaghers, Bosch, Milestone, Geutebruck, Integriti, Salto, Jacques, etc.

      • Electrotechnology Level 3 or NZ Certificate in Security Level 3 would be advantageous

      • Skill and experience in networking systems to support customer security platforms

      • IQP SS3/2 certification, or the background to attain this, a significant advantage

      • Excellent oral and written communication skills

      • Excellent attention to detail, including technical and safety compliance requirements

      • Strong organizational, administrative skills and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines

      • High level of expertise in MS O365 suite of software including Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel

      • Capable of working efficiently in a fast pace environment and under pressure

      • Ability to work effectively as a team leader and independently

      • Agility to work both in office and home environments

      • Full clean driver’s license
