Maintains smooth operation of LAN/WAN/VPNs.
Plans, designs, configures, and installs network hardware in support of customer requirements.
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware / software interconnection, as well a interfacing, including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc.
Proposes solutions to management.
Ensures all communication requirements (based on future needs and current usage) are configured to optimize cost savings.
Creates and ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
Provides regular monitoring, and network analysis, regarding short and long-range planning for systems.
May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment.
Designs networks, or portions of networks, including the selection of hardware and software packages.
Work within ITSM tools and Project Management applications (i.e. Atlassian/Jira).
Lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
Work after hours and weekends as needed.
Master's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of relevant experience; OR a High School diploma (or equivalent) with 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must have a DOD 8570 IAT level II baseline certification (example: Security+ CE); OR must have the ability to obtain one within 3 months of start date
Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered
Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of employment
Must have experience with Cisco hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
Master's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 10 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 12 years of relevant experience is required
Must have a DOD 8570 IAT level II baseline certification (example: Security+ CE); OR must have the ability to obtain one within 3 months of start date

Bachelor’s degree Network Engineering
Active Top Secret, SCI, Polygraph, or SAP/SAR access would be nice to have
Cisco CCNA/CCNP Certification
Experience with configuring TACLANES would be ideal
Previous experience troubleshooting network procedures and best practices; experience with network challenges associated with systems integration, including COTS integration, capacity analysis and system architecture design
Demonstrated leadership skills, or previous management of small teams, would be helpful
Demonstrated experience in the use of network analysis tools (i.e. SolarWinds, Wireshark, Riverbed Appliance, F5, etc.)
DISA STIGs knowledge and/or implementation experience
Network encryption devices (TACLANE’s) experience
Cisco Call Manager experience
Cisco Telepresence equipment experience
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls

The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems support team in El Segundo, CA.

Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00Salary Range 2: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
