      Job Title: Network Engineer


      Job Description

      As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in projects with moderate to highly complex environments, utilizing high availability concepts to ensure seamless network operations. You will develop and implement project plans within budgetary constraints and collaborate with the Engineering team to create innovative technical design solutions.

      Responsibilities

      • Develop and implement project plans within budgetary and resource constraints.
      • Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop technical design solutions.
      • Capture, analyze, decompose, and create requirements for network systems, products, and subsystems of moderate complexity.
      • Design, develop, document, test, and maintain network systems ranging from straightforward to moderately complex, focusing on customer needs and business requirements.
      • Author, review, and maintain documentation during all phases of the system design life cycle, including Project Plans, Estimates, Requirements Documentation, Operational Scenarios, Design Documentation, and Sys Acceptance Test Plans.
      • Apply Security/Cybersecurity methodologies to network and systems design to provide secure services.
      • Configure and install various network devices and services, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, and ACL.
      • Provide post-fielding support, resolving operational issues involving L2 and L3 in a multi-routing network infrastructure.

      Essential Skills

      • Systems development, requirements development, system design, network design.
      • Experience with Cisco hardware and related Infrastructure/Network environments.
      • Designing, planning, and implementing LAN-WANs using industry-standard technologies.
      • Understanding of IP Networks, security, and network management concepts.
      • Demonstrated knowledge in TCP/IP, routing (BGP, OSPF), L2 switching (VLANs, STP, 802.1Q), tunneling/encapsulation mechanisms (GRE, VPN), troubleshooting, L1 fiber optics, optic modules, RJ-45, L3 packet and protocol inspection concepts.
      • Ability to read and interpret packet captures, TCPDUMP.
      • Setup a monitor session (SPAN), VOIP, telephony.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Active CCNA or CCNP certification, CompTIA Network+, JNCIA, PCNSE.
      • Understanding of formal configuration management processes.
      • Working knowledge of automation and configuration management leveraging tools like Ansible.
      • Demonstrated understanding of project life cycle support, including requirements development, analysis, design, test, implementation, and post-fielding support.
      • Knowledge of VoIP Telephony and SIP with experience in voice network design, including SIP and QOS configurations.
      • Ability to take the initiative in driving technical discussions with relevant parties.
      • Desirable knowledge of the Airport and Air Transport Industry domain.

      Work Environment

      You will work in a team environment, sometimes independently, engaging in lab work. The role involves high reliability network systems, where you will have the opportunity to learn a communication network system and build up to product ownership. The network engineer will work onsite for a week in a collaborative atmosphere with occasional remote work capabilities. Dress code is business casual.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $180000.00/hr.
