      Flexible on Location London – EC2R 7HJ, Staines - TW18 3DZ or Manchester – M50 3SP

      Hybrid (3 to 4 days working from home)

      The Network Engineer (CCNA/CCNP) is responsible for working with Senior Leads for design and implementation of critical Information Services built on best of breed technologies and infrastructures. The role contributes to developing and maintaining high-level and low-level designs through to deployment and providing SME support for Bupa’s IT services.

      You’ll help us make health happen by:

      • Contribute to design, evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of critical business technical solutions. Solutions both tactical and strategic in scope.

      • Understanding application connectivity requirements across complex infrastructures Cloud routing, Cloud Platform and cloud security services experience (Azure primarily)

      • Able to deploy highly complex industry leading technical systems working closely with other IT teams, vendors and solution providers. The role typically collaborates at high levels of technical knowledge with managed service providers, ensuring that the outcomes required are technically assured and adhere to Bupa’s standards and policies.

      • Technically assure the definition and implement for 24 X 7 availability and performance delivery of deployed solutions within agreed service levels, aligned to Bupa’s SLAs and OLAs and evidenced through monitoring, reporting and metrics.

      • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Bupa’s plans and contribute to integrate core IT solutions creating a strong infrastructure foundation for business systems development and deployments. Bupa is in the process of planning and adopting a ‘cloud first’ strategy over the coming years, therefore experience within network and security transformation from ‘on premise’ to cloud is strongly desired.

      • Contribute to development, documentation, communication, enforcement, and maintenance of technology policies and standards.

      • Implement ITIL best practices as key milestones within Connectivity operational processes aligned with Bupa’s Service Management and Service Delivery teams.

      Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

      • Recognizes potential improvement areas and takes the lead in a continuous improvement program.

      • Experience in supporting network data and security environments and systems

      • Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching,

      • Technical SME with 3+ years’ experience in at least two of the following technologies

        • Routing and Switching

        • Wireless solutions (Enterprise Prime and Meraki Wireless)

        • Firewall (Palo Alto, Firepower, Checkpoint)

        • Zscaler Cloud solutions

        • Meraki solutions (Routing/Switching/Wireless)

        • SDWAN

        • Cloud solutions (Azure preferred)

      • Any understanding of other network and security strongly preferred:

        • Algosec

        • Segmentation (such as Tetration, Elisity)

        • NAC solutions (Forescout preferred)

        • dMonitoring Toolsets (Solarwinds)

        • WAF (Barracuda, Cloudflare)

        • Telephony VOIP knowledge an advantage

      • Strong analytical approach to problem solving and solution development

      • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to drive for improvements with a ‘can do’ attitude
