      As a Network Engineer- Broadband, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) network infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality and reliability of our broadband services. Your expertise will help us stay at the forefront of the telecommunications industry.

      Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

      DOCSIS Network Design: Collaborate with network architects to design DOCSIS network solutions that meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.

      Network Implementation: Implement and configure DOCSIS network equipment, including cable modems, CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System), and associated hardware.

      Network Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the DOCSIS network to improve performance, efficiency, and customer experience.

      Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly, minimizing downtime and service interruptions.

      Security and Compliance: Ensure DOCSIS network security by implementing best practices and adhering to industry standards and regulations.

      Documentation: Maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

      Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network operations, customer support, and product development, to address network-related challenges and opportunities.

      Emerging Technologies: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to DOCSIS and cable broadband, and provide recommendations for their adoption.

      Quality Assurance: Conduct tests and performance evaluations to ensure the network meets or exceeds established quality standards.


      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field and / or equivalent work experience
      • 2-3 years of experience in the telecommunications industry
      • 2-3 or more years of headend design, outside plant design, or fiber optic network design
      • Proven experience as a DOCSIS Engineer or in a similar role within the telecommunications industry.
      • Comfortable working in a team environment, as well as being able to perform duties in a very fast pace environment and ability to learn new technology quickly
      • Ethernet, SNMP, DOCSIS (3.0 and higher), RF transmission, and transport technologies and protocols
      • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting CMTS devices.
      • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
      • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
      • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
      • Industry certifications (e.g., SCTE, Cisco CCNA/CCNP) are a plus.
