      Job Overview

      A Network Engineer III will design, build, and implement network systems across the enterprise. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all local and wide area network connections, corporate servers, associated software, and communication links. This position will also troubleshoot network performance issues, as well as analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions.

      • Participates in the planning, designing, installing and configuring of local and wide area networks.
      • Monitors performance of network, servers and other devices to proactively identify potential problems and bottlenecks.
      • Diagnoses and resolves enterprise-wide LAN/WAN problems.
      • Maintains accurate inventory of network hardware and network software licensing
      • Create and maintain appropriate support documentation.
      • Ensures the enterprise network is secure and appropriate recovery and redundancy issues are addressed.
      • Provides technical guidance to IS Staff, less experienced Network Engineers and Management
      • Provide technical and project leadership for network engineering initiatives.
      • Assists in the planning, implementing, and documenting of a disaster recovery plan for all network components.

      Education/Certifications Desired

        • Associates Degree in CIS/CS with 5+ years of relevant Network Engineering experience.
        • Cisco, Palo Alto, Netscaler, or other advanced industry network/security/cloud certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CISSP)

      Specialized Knowledge/Skills

      • Advanced TCP/IP networking knowledge including security, sub-netting, switching, routing, load-balancing, and troubleshooting techniques.
      • Expertise with network protocols including EIGRP, BGP, OSPF
      • Cisco and/or Palo Alto NGFW technologies experience with Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, Wildfire, Global Protect, DNS security.
      • Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining network/security technologies:
        • Firewalls (Cisco/Palo Alto)
        • Route/Switch (Cisco)
        • SD-WAN (Velocloud, Meraki)
        • Threat/Intrusion Detection and Prevention (Cisco Firepower/FMC, Palo Alto)
        • Load-balancers (F5, Netscalers)
        • Identity Access/Multi-factor solutions (Cisco ISE, RSA, DUO, ConfirmID)
        • Secure VPN (IPsec/SSL)
        • Network forensics (Wireshark, SIEM, packet capture, TCP/SSL dumps)
