      Network Engineers at HorizonIQ are critical to the stability and performance of our infrastructure and the service experience of our customers. In this role, you’ll support the networking components of both bare metal and virtualized environments that power our hybrid data center offerings.



      You will be responsible for responding to customer tickets, supporting and maintaining network infrastructure, and working closely with Engineering, IT, and Service Delivery teams to ensure issues are resolved quickly and effectively. This is a remote position.

      General Responsibilities:

      • Qualifications / Experience:

        • 4+ years in a technical network support or engineering role, ideally in a B2B environment.

        • Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade routers, switches, and firewalls.

        • Proficient in networking fundamentals: VLANs, NAT, routing protocols, GRE/IPSec/SSL VPNs, load balancing, DHCP/DNS.

        • Ability to diagnose issues across the OSI model with a strong understanding of Layer 2–4.

        • Experience with Palo Alto and Juniper firewalls strongly preferred.

        • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (OpenStack, Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V) and modern cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS).

        • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non- technical audiences.

        • Excellent documentation and organization skills.

        • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

        • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

        • Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix and traffic/load distribution platforms like HAProxy is a plus.

        • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or Palo Alto (PCCET, PCNSA) are a plus.
