- Build strong relationships with affiliate staff and oversee effective relationship management between the CPD/A national organization and the network of organizations.
- Track and streamline communications between CPD/A staff and affiliate organizations.
- Oversee affiliate engagement in network opportunities, including in-person convenings and trainings, virtual gatherings, and mobilizations.
- Coordinate senior staff within CPD/A to support high-quality engagement and support for all CPD/A affiliates.
- Supervise a team of staff who will support relationship management with affiliate organizations and network infrastructure.
- Create, implement, and maintain all systems and infrastructure to support the items above.
- Craft agendas, facilitate to intended outcomes, and step into leadership to build cross-team support.
- Demonstrated experience building relationships within networks, conducting mobilizations, and tracking data in support of organizing efforts;
- Deep alignment with CPD’s theory of change, which focuses on building power through community organizing;
- Experience with community organizing and progressive campaigning with diverse, community-based organizations;
- Strong project management skills and proven effectiveness working across departments or teams within an organization, as well as within coalitions or networks of diverse organizations;
- Success as an independent, self-motivated, and strong leader that is able to drive projects and programs to completion in a fast-paced environment;
- Proven effectiveness at supervising a team;
- Superior attention to detail with the ability to navigate conflicting priorities;
- Strong organization and communication skills;
- COVID depending, the ability to travel occasionally (approximately 6 times/year);
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
- A commitment to social, racial, and economic justice and a deep understanding of challenges facing low-wage workers, immigrant communities, communities of color, disabled people, LGBTQ+ folks, and people at the intersections of the above communities.
Position Title: Network Manager
Position Location: Brooklyn, NY or Washington D.C preferred. Will consider candidates in other locations, with a preference for the East Coast.
The Center for Popular Democracy/CPD Action is seeking a Network Manager. This is a full-time, exempt position.
About CPD + CPDA:
The Center for Popular Democracy and CPD Action (together, CPD/A) work to promote equity, opportunity, and a dynamic democracy in partnership with innovative base-building organizations, organizing networks and alliances, and progressive unions across the country. We work with nearly 50 affiliates in over 30 states and Puerto Rico to build the strength and capacity of democratic organizations that envision and advance a pro-worker, pro-immigrant, racial and economic justice agenda. We are a rapidly-expanding, changing organization that partners with organizations across the country to build political power and win tangible victories that improve the lives of low-wage workers, immigrants, and communities of color.
About the Position:
We are seeking a Network Manager to play an integral role in providing cross-team support for our affiliate network. The Network Manager will coordinate communications, build and maintain infrastructure to carry out our network goals, and facilitate cross-affiliate and staff collaborations to build and maintain relationships with affiliates and ensure network building activities. COVID-depending, it is expected that the Network Manager will travel one to two times a quarter for network convenings, staff retreats, and other similar events.
We estimate that candidates will have about 10 years of relevant experience for this position, but our review of candidates for this role will focus on whether they can fill the needs of the position, not just years of experience.
This position will report to the Deputy Chief of Staff and supervise two Affiliate Coordinators and a Senior Executive Assistant.

Salary and Benefits:
CPD/A is a unionized workplace. This is a supervisory position, not included in our bargaining unit. Salary will be determined according to a salary scale which takes into account years’ experience, job category, and other factors, but is expected to be $78,000-$93,000.We have a generous benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 15 vacation days your first year, 12 sick days per year, additional PTO, including holidays, and contributions to individuals’ 401K plans.
