      Network Officer - Network Risk Management

      Location: St Mary Cray

      Salary: £42.9k - £53.1k per annum (Dependent on skills & qualifications)

      Reference: REQ3354

      An opportunity has arisen for the position of Network Officer in the Network Management Distribution team (Risk Management), reporting to the Engineering Assurance Manager. The base location is St Mary Cray, but the successful candidate may need to travel occasionally for meetings or workshops with other business areas or external parties.

      What will you be doing day to day?

      • Ensuring business compliance with management procedure SGN/PM/REP/3
      • Managing SGN’s Riser Risk Model and associated risk management processes for both Scotland and Southern
      • Managing SGN’s annual riser survey programme for both Scotland and Southern, including audits
      • Generating riser intervention work as identified through survey and condition issues
      • Validation and reporting of riser replacement and refurbishment workloads
      • Management of the MRPS survey and audit programmes, including ad hoc requests
      • Demonstrate risk reduction on both internal risk modelling and Ofgem Outputs (NARMs)
      • Ensure compliance against procedures and outputs to meet both HSE and Ofgem regulatory requirements and targets
      • Regular liaison with Operations teams and external stakeholders on Riser Risk management
      • Managing and overseeing the completion of various quality management information, including but not limited to Riser Risk management and regulatory reporting
      • Work closely with other business departments to lead on and promote process changes
      • Supporting the wider Network Management team with other tasks when required

      What you’ll need

      • Good level of business knowledge and understanding of the gas industry
      • Highly motivated with a flexible approach
      • Strong people management skills
      • Ability to respond and adapt quickly to change; and meet tight deadlines
      • Ability to innovate, lead and support new technology, process change and different ways of working
      • Ability to collate and issue quality and accurate management information
      • Strong communication skills supporting regular liaison with many other departments and stakeholders within SGN or externally
      • Thorough knowledge of SGN systems and processes
      • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Advanced Excel skills
