      Position Overview: The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for planning, deployment, and maintenance of network security equipment and solutions across on-premises, AWS, and Azure cloud infrastructures.

      Work Schedule: This position is Monday-Friday. Team members are expected to be flexible with their schedule to support up to two after-hour planned maintenance windows per week.

      The Network Security Engineer will work in a large infrastructure team and be required to support specific duties including, but not limited to:

      • Designing, implementing, and supporting new network security solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current security measures.
      • Installing, configuring, and supporting network security equipment, primarily Palo Alto firewalls.
      • Managing network access control and dot1x authentication using Arista's AGNI platform.
      • Configuring and supporting Infoblox for DHCP and IPAM.
      • Implementing and managing Palo Alto's Prisma Access platform for zero trust network access.
      • Utilizing Illumio for host-based network segmentation.
      • Supporting modern switching and routing infrastructure; Arista and Cisco.
      • Monitoring and troubleshooting network security performance.
      • Testing the latest firmware releases before production installation.
      • Automating routine tasks using Ansible Automation Platform and/or Terraform.
      • Performing all other duties as assigned.

      Required Skills and Qualifications:

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Ability to organize and facilitate planning and demonstrations.
      • Ability to track, manage, and ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner.
      • Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous projects.

      Technical Knowledge:

      • Strong foundation in networking fundamentals, including deep understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite, OSI model, routing, switching, NAT, and firewall concepts.
      • Hands-on experience with firewalls, including physical appliances and virtualized/cloud-based deployments in AWS and Azure. Comfortable with security policy configuration, troubleshooting, and integration with cloud-native services.
      • Proficient with secure web gateways and proxy solutions, including policy management, traffic forwarding methods, and SSL inspection troubleshooting.
      • Exposure to automation and infrastructure-as-code tools, with the ability to read and modify configurations written in JSON, YAML, and Terraform HCL.
      • Working knowledge of automation frameworks and orchestration platforms such as Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform, including experience using them to standardize and streamline network operations.
      • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, including basic scripting to interact with network devices and platforms for configuration retrieval, reporting, and provisioning tasks.
      • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the DevOps lifecycle, with appreciation for how infrastructure and security policies integrate into modern deployment workflows.
      • Experience with IP address management (IPAM) systems, including lifecycle management of IP space, DHCP/DNS integration, and subnetting best practices.
      • Comfortable in command-line environments, with ability to analyze logs, debug connectivity issues, and interpret outputs from network monitoring or diagnostic tools (e.g., traceroute, tcpdump, Wireshark).
      • Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and cloud security models is a plus.

      Preferred Experience Requirements:

      • 4 years of experience preferred.
      • Experience working in a complex data center environment.

      Education Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

      Target base salary range is xx-xx, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
