      Introduction to Role:

      Join us at AstraZeneca, where we are embarking on an exciting transformation journey within our Clinical Manufacture & Supply (CM&S) team. We are seeking a Network Supply Planner to play a pivotal role in this transformation, through establishing Network Supply Planning and Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) processes. This role is part of the global clinical supply chain team within CM&S. As a Network Supply Planner, you will lead the weekly S&OE cycle and monthly supplier supply capability review cycle, working closely with the Network Supply Planning Project Lead to drive the roll out of S&OE to other nodes and levels of the clinical supply chain.

      Accountabilities:

      Lead weekly S&OE cycle:

      • Accountable for driving weekly S&OE cycle making prioritisation decisions to create a capacity constrained executable operational plan (horizon 0-12 weeks)
      • Act as escalation point for the pack order executions process as part of the CM&S escalations process
      • Develop a strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders to create an operational plan that is optimised across the CM&S network

      Lead monthly supplier supply capability review cycle

      • Creates and maintains the tactical supply plan aligned to monthly planning cycle
      • Using Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) to consider supplier capacity, key materials availability (bulk/API/device), inventory strategy set by clinical supply study leads and external factors

      Own the operational (0-12 week horizon) and tactical supply plans (3m-24m horizon)

      • Gate keeper of operational and tactical supply plans and liaison between supplier and internal nodes, governed by S&OE and the CM&S monthly planning cycle
      • Works closely with the pack order execution team and third party suppliers to monitor and control the execution of operational plans

      Support the role out of S&OE across clinical supply chain

      • Support the role out of S&OE through different levels and nodes of the clinical supply chain, working closely with NSP Project Lead
      • Drive best practice planning practices with key internal and external stakeholders

      Essential Skills/Experience:

      - Degree in supply chain related or drug development discipline or equivalent qualification or experience.

      - In-depth knowledge of R&D supply chain and drug development processes.

      - Advanced supply chain (inventory, capacity and network) planning skills.

      - Experience in collaboration with key interfaces within the end-to-end supply chain.

      - Excellent communications and collaboration skills.

      - Knowledge of pharmaceutical production, supply chain principles, good manufacturing practice, FDA requirements (or equivalent) and Customs rules and regulations.

      - Proficient IT skills and an aptitude for systems.

      - Excellent analytical skills and an interest in using data to drive decisions.

      Desirable Skills/Experience:

      - APICS / CSCP or equivalent certification Lean certification.

      - Good understanding of S&OP process.

      - Leadership experience.

      - Experience designing and implementing S&OE or S&OP planning processes.

      - Experience developing supply chain tools and models in Microsoft Excel.
