Job Description
- Req#: R2649
- PhD or PsyD from an APA/CPA-approved program in Clinical Psychology;
- APA-accredited internship completion;
- Successful completion of a 2-year postdoctoral neuropsychology fellowship/residency;
- Experience working in medical settings and with interdisciplinary treatment teams is preferred;
- Board certified or eligible for board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology;
- Eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.

Inpatient Neuropsychologist (Acquired Brain Injury Unit)

The Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia, is recruiting for a full-time inpatient clinical neuropsychologist to work with our comprehensive inpatient neurorehabilitation treatment teams. Working with our ABI patient populations at Shepherd Center offers unique experiences and opportunities, including working with patients with stroke, TBI, encephalopathies, hypoxic/anoxic events, tumor, neuromedical diseases, and various stages of acute recovery, including DOC. The neuropsychologist should have specialty training in neuropsychology, rehabilitation interventions, neuropsychological assessment, interest in teaching and learning, and have interdisciplinary treatment team experience.Primary responsibilities include active interdisciplinary team participation, neuropsychological assessments, capacity assessments, and providing psychoeducation and rehabilitative intervention services for patients and their families/caregivers. The Psychology Department is a large, collaborative group with services in brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and pain management. The neuropsychologist will also be involved in training and supervising postdoctoral neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology postdoctoral fellows and student trainees.
