- Builds relationships with local support groups, caregivers, advocacy organizations, and healthcare providers.
- Represents CenExel at community events, health fairs, and awareness campaigns.
- Assists with the setup, organization, and ongoing monitoring of CenExel’s Neurodegenerative Disease clinical sites.
- Collaborates with site staff to ensure operational readiness, adherence to protocols, and smooth coordination of patient visits and study procedures.
- Helps identify and address site-specific needs to enhance patient experience and site performance.
- Collaborates with study teams to identify and engage potential clinical trials.
- Reduces barriers to participation by building trust and addressing community concerns.
- Serves as a liaison between the community and the research site to ensure culturally competent communication and care.
- Maintains ongoing relationships with local advocacy groups and medical professionals.
- Organizes educational seminars or informational sessions in the community.
- Attends relevant scientific, advocacy, or clinical conferences when needed.
- Assists in the creation and distribution of outreach materials like flyers, social media content, and newsletters.
- Provides feedback on how to improve patient-centered messaging and outreach strategies.
- Tracks outreach and engagement activities, including participant feedback.
- Supports reporting metrics for recruitment effectiveness and community engagement.
- Supports internal training efforts for site staff or new ambassadors on community engagement strategies and cultural competency in neurodegenerative populations.
- Gathers insights from patients and caregivers to inform site practices or trial protocol development, aiming to improve participant experience and accessibility.
- Supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference on Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operating procedures, site working Practices, protocol, and company guidelines and policies.
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, public health, biology, psychology, clinical research, nursing, or a related health/science field.
- 1–3 years of experience in clinical research, public health outreach, patient advocacy, or a related field.
- Previous involvement with clinical trials (either in a professional or participant-facing capacity) is a strong asset.
- Experience working with or in patient organizations, research institutions, or academic medical centers preferred.
- Indoor, Office environment.
- Essential physical requirements include sitting, typing, standing, and walking.
- Lightly active position, occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.
- Travel up to 50%.
- Remote work arrangement.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer (dotted line to COO and CEO), the Neurodegenerative Disease Ambassador will play a vital role in supporting clinical research initiatives focused on conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, and other neurodegenerative disorders. This position serves as a key liaison between research teams, patient communities, advocacy organizations, and the broader public, with the goal of promoting clinical trial awareness, improving participant engagement, and fostering trust in the research process.
The Ambassador will assist in disseminating scientifically accurate, patient-friendly information about ongoing and upcoming clinical studies, provide education on the importance of research participation, and gather feedback from patients and caregivers to inform study design and recruitment strategies. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in neuroscience or clinical research, excellent communication skills, and a passion for advancing the understanding and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
