What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prospect and identify potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach
- Qualify leads by understanding the needs and interests of potential partners and pass qualified leads to Account Managers
- Build relationships with educators and administrators to promote the value of Scholastic Reading Events
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and track progress toward sales goals in the CRM system
- Collaborate with the sales team to refine outreach strategies and enhance lead generation effectiveness
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail or territory sales, event management, or customer service
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Sales Automation or Customer Relationship Management software
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers and customers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
- Proven leadership ability and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
- Experience in developing marketing and merchandising strategies
