You have graduated with your bachelor's degree in 2023, 2024 or will graduate by May 2025

Or, you are currently completing a master's degree in a related field, you are graduating by May 2025, and have a maximum of 1 year between completing your bachelor's degree and enrolling in your master's program.

Good Academic Standing (A copy of your Official/Unofficial Transcript)

Valid, permanent driver's license (Ontario Class G)

Develop technical skills (SAP, BIBW, excel)

Learn Program / Project Management skills (planning, scheduling, control and reporting)

Gain experience with Distribution work programs – customer projects, grid modernization, large capital expansions, maintenance programs
-
Collaborate with the greater Distribution team, as well as Asset Planning, Finance, External vendors, Supply Chain, Regulatory
-
Provide advice, guidance, recommendations and assistance to supervisors and management
-
Report on historical performance and identify, evaluate, analyze and explain variances between budget/forecast and actual expenditures
-
Provide support to Program / Project Managers in project administration duties including release of Work Breakdown Structures and Work Orders
-
Create and maintain program / project tracking and milestones
-
Schedule project status meetings and record project meeting minutes at the request of Program / Project Manager

Liaison with Regulatory, Asset Planning, Supply Chain supporting the development and execution of project contracts, oversight and execution

Assist in the preparation and monitoring of key project milestones at the request of the Program / Project Manager

Prepare program / project variance reports and distribute to appropriate audience

Contribute to the coordination of new work programs, or existing work programs process improvements

A self-motivated individual with an aptitude to learn

Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail

Takes initiative without being prompted and can problem solve

Ability to work in a busy environment with competing and changing priorities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must meet New Grad Program Eligibility Requirements

A University undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering or related field

Previous Co-op/Internship experience in a relevant field and industry is considered an asset

Previous project management experience is considered an asset

Distribution Lines Work Management
We are seeking 1 Business / Finance New Grad within our Distribution Lines Work Management team.
Assistant Project Managers within Distribution Lines Work Management at Hydro One Networks Inc. are engaged in a variety of challenging and exciting roles and responsibilities. Distribution Lines Work Management is responsible for the program, project and contract management of Hydro One’s Distribution Lines work programs. Assistant Project Managers are responsible for a variety of tasks that include running and analyzing cost reports, producing program and project forecasts, monitoring program / project health, supporting Program / Project Managers with project status meetings with multiple lines of businesses, supporting the implementation of new programs / projects, supporting and maintaining contract related documents and communicating program / project risks.
A successful New Graduate in the Distribution Lines Work Management team would be analytical, an effective communicator, organized, takes initiative and can problem solve in challenging and complex situations.
