Bobit Business Media Inc. ("BBM") is seeking an entry-level News Content Coordinator to join our editorial content team. The role involves receiving and processing press releases, transforming them into concise news updates, editing and formatting text, selecting and optimizing photographs, and ensuring content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with our standards.

Location

Headquartered in Torrance, CA, BBM employees work remotely. We are open to hiring in the following states: AL, AZ, CA (except San Francisco), CT, FL, GA, IL, MI, NC, NV, OH, OR, TN, WI.

Pay Rate

$22 per hour (annualized $45,760).

Responsibilities

1. Review and edit press releases for clarity, grammar, and brand consistency.
2. Post news/releases on platforms such as CMS as instructed.
3. Select and format relevant photographs for news updates.
4. Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines.
5. Organize and maintain press materials and media assets.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple deadlines.
4. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic image editing software (e.g., Canva).
6. Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress is a plus.
