What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor sources to identify breaking news updates and update relevant articles
- Conduct systematic research on officeholders, candidates, and elections to collect data
- Ensure data accuracy in the database and during regular reviews of officeholders and candidates
- Generate clear and concise content on complex political topics
- Proofread content effectively and interact professionally with co-workers and the media
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Demonstrated passion for the employer's mission
- Knowledge of the United States political system and elections
- Experience working with databases and spreadsheets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage projects efficiently
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience as a professional writer and/or editor
- Interest in or experience using AI tools to increase productivity
- Willingness to work periodic evenings and weekends
