  Who we are : NewsNation is a national news cable network currently reaching 75 million television households across the United States. The network is owned and operated by Nexstar Media Group (NXST). NewsNation is currently searching for a fulltime Feed Room Supervisor for our National Newscasts, based in our new New York studios.

  
  This opportunity is for someone who is a self starter that can communicate clearly, come up with operational improvements and does not mind rolling up their sleeves to get involved with the day to day when needed.

  Responsibilities:
  The Feed Room Operator must be able to work as in a team atmosphere and communicate with others in the room. Problem solving skills with the ability to quickly troubleshoot and make decisions while adhering to strict deadlines. Feed Room Operations team is first layer of Quality Control and is responsible for receiving and transmitting cellular bonded (TVU, LIVEU, Dejero), satellite, IP and streaming (Zoom or other Video Service) broadcast signals as well as, scheduling recordings for all New York based broadcasts while delivering the standards that our viewers expect and deserve.

  
  Qualifications:
  3-5 years’ television newsgathering experience required
  Must work well in a collaborative team environment, be able to multitask. A problem solver, communicator, and quick thinker to resolve existing issues and to find work arounds as needed.
  Must have the ability to work and communicate clearly while under pressure.
  Knowledge of TVU, LiveU, Bitcentral and ENPS systems a plus.
  Working knowledge of common business software applications, particularly Microsoft Office
  Must be self-sufficient and have a “press-on-regardless” attitude.
  All day parts (mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays) may be a part of the schedule with overtime as situations demand.
  Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field preferred.

  
  This is an IBEW union position and union membership is required:

  Salery Range:

  $42.00 to 46.23/hr
