      Job summary

      Are you an organised and experienced Administrator, Care Coordinator, or Receptionist with good IT skills who is looking for a new and exciting challenge?

      Can you manage multiple tasks supporting a range of primary care services in a fast paced office environment, and do you care passionately about making a real difference to peoples lives?

      Greater Peterborough Network are looking for a skilled Administrator / Care Coordinator to join in helping to support its many Primary and Planned Care services.

      We are a dynamic and responsive team who pride ourselves on our can-do attitude, and seek a like-minded individual of such!

      This role will see you working Monday to Friday based in a busy and fast paced office in Peterborough City Centre, with possible travel required from time to time to other sites, and will work alongside an Admin team supporting our Operational and Clinical teams with the delivery of the many different primary care services that we provide for patients throughout Peterborough.

      The role will involve working with different services, and largely consist of general Admin Support duties including telephone support, handling referrals, planning clinics, as well as dealing with a incoming phone calls daily.

      Main duties of the job

      Typical Daily Duties could consist of

      Booking and arranging appointments for patients

      Printing clinical paperwork for clinics and home visits

      Accurately entering health information on to patient records

      Handling incoming referrals and helping to arrange and coordinate work and clinic lists for clinical staff

      Calling patients to confirm upcoming appointments and gather feedback following experiences using Greater Peterborough Network services

      Handling a high level of incoming phone calls and queries

      Working with and liaising with Peterborough GP Practices we support and provide services for

      Essential

      • Polite and clear telephone manner
      • Minimum of 2 years experience in a fast paced Admin role handling multiple tasks
      • Good general IT skills with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (or equivalent email/software packages) and will need to be someone who can learn new systems
      • Experience working in a public facing role, or experience providing excellent customer services
      • Ability to work well at times under pressure and manage multiple tasks
      • Will need to be accurate with data entry and have a good eye in attention to detail
      • Must be reliable and understand the importance of confidentiality

      Desirable

      • Although not essential, previous experience as an NHS Administrator or Receptionist, or in another NHS service delivery related post would be beneficial
      • Experience using SystmOne would be desirable but not essential
