Job Description
- Req#: 493211
- Bake bagels, and occasionally different bread types.
- Ensure proper proofing and baking of bagels.
- Pan and properly top bagels as necessary.
- Ensure orders are filled in a timely manner.
- Place product in proper racks and/or baskets for retail sale.
- Clean kitchen equipment (including proof box, kitchen, and utensils) daily.
- Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
- Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, ovens, and proof boxes
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus.

Getting back to humans working the night shift.
Blazing Bagels, home of the region’s premier bagel and more bagel varieties than any bagel shop in the country, is hiring a night shift baker to bake BAGELS at Night when everyone else is sleeping.
If you’re an experienced commercial bread or pastry baker but not bagels, that’s ok, we’ll teach you. If you’re not a commercial baker but know how to get to Redmond, stay up all night and sleep in the daytime and want to be commercial baker, we can teach you. Ultimately, you will make sure we offer fresh and delicious goods to our customers daily.
We’re looking for someone who can work both independently and, in a team, efficiently. You must be hygienic, organized, have an eye for detail and be willing to learn new skills! A great place to start and learn. Want to raise your dough along with our dough? We consistently look to promote from within as we grow and expand.
A few requirements:
You must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand on your feet (not hands) on a cement floor for extended periods of time. The position includes pushing large baking racks. You will also be responsible for reading baking counts, so basic reading and math skills are required.
We will ask that you are a team player, have a Yes attitude and learn to be a great floor sweeper. Even the boss sweeps.
