      SUMMARY

      Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, complies with all applicable safety policies and regulations.

      PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Dredges sand from the river.
      • Assists with winter repairs on the dredge.
      • Assists with breakdowns on the dredge.
      • Greases, performs oil changes and preventative maintenance on equipment.
      • Cut with a cutting torch and weld with a stick welder.

      REQUIRED MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

      Ability to read, write, understand warning labels, instructions, signs, pay attention to details, etc. Good communication skills required. Ability to use a computer.

      Work requires walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting objects that occasionally weigh up to 100 pounds unassisted and over 100 pounds with help. Ability to climb stairs while carrying up to 50 pounds.

      EDUCATION

      High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

      WORKING CONDITIONS

      Job hazards include frequent exposure to noise, dirt, fumes, heat, cold, and exposure to all weather conditions. The work is in a safety sensitive environment.
