New Jersey Natural Gas, a subsidiary of NJR is seeking a Clean Energy Intern to assist the Business Development Manager with various duties required for decarbonization project development.

Bring your enthusiasm and drive and you’ll learn from some of the top talent in the energy industry. You’ll have hands-on experience with your team and the support of our human resources team through this 10-week program. Growing both professionally and personally throughout the program could lead to future post-grad opportunities.
• Assist in development of projects including Renewable Natural Gas (Landfill and Food Waste Digester), Power-to-Gas/Hydrogen, Wastewater and Energy Efficiency Projects
• Research and report on emerging technologies related to decarbonization efforts (electrolyzers, fuel cells, heat pumps, pyrolysis, water treatment, carbon capture, membrane systems, etc.)
• Review, summarize and categorize industry material, technical journals and academic studies to inform NJR Senior Leadership of industry movementWhat we are looking for:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering or Math; preferred majors include Chemical Engineer, Environmental Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Economics, Physics
• Valid New Jersey drivers’ license
• Available to work full time (40 hours per week) during defined intern program dates (June-August)
• Ability to work onsite in the corporate office in Wall, NJ as defined by manager
