Varghese & Associates is a mid-sized No-Fault defense firm serving as staff counsel and are employees of the Law Department of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company. We are seeking a No-Fault Legal Secretary to join our Jericho, NY office. We are a dynamic, high-volume, deadline driven team handling multiple counties. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will support attorneys with arbitration submissions, answers and motions, and e-filing with New York electronic filing system. Hours for the position are Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually. Everyone in a hybrid role is required to spend some time in the office. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs. Located in Jericho, NY, we enjoy and active, busy civil trial practice. We provide a congenial, team-oriented professional work environment with skilled support staff. Location: 300 Jericho Quadrangle, Suite 260, Jericho, NY 11753 #LI-RC1 Qualifications 3+ years of No-Fault defense of personal injury experience is preferred Experience preparing Arbitration Submissions, Answers and Motions Experience with AAA Arbitrations and New York E-filing procedures and redaction Ability and flexibility to organize, prioritize, and meet critical deadlines Proficiency in software technology and tools, including Microsoft Suite, Adobe Professional, and case management software Familiarity working in an electronic environment Excellent interpersonal skills Team focused approach to work and willingness to assist others Reputation for high standards in terms of work ethic, professionalism, teamwork, and attitude Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work opportunity Potential salary range: $61,079.69-$70,000.00 Potential yearly incentive pay up to 6% of base salary
