      Function/Duties of Position

      Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide*.

      Required Qualifications

      • Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in (check one)

        • High School, OR

        • Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Undergraduates who are pursuing science majors preferred but not required.

      • OR OHSU students currently engaged in research-oriented programs

      • Basic laboratory skills

      Additional Details

      Part time, flexible work hrs; ~2-3 hr/day; 2-3 days/week. Work is less than 10 hours per week. Able to work independently once trained. Able to assist with microscopic imaging and computer-based image analysis. Able to be trained in new methods for handling and maintaining in-house insect colonies (caterpillars, moths, flies).
