What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage a portfolio of commercial lines business for nonprofit human service organizations and education institutions
- Analyze and assess exposures and risks to determine appropriate coverages and premiums
- Build and maintain relationships with agents to drive business growth
- Ensure compliance with service expectations and timely release of renewals and non-renewals
- Mentor and train support staff and facilitate their career development
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience across all commercial lines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to analyze data and make timely decisions
- Working towards or already holding a CPCU or equivalent industry certification
