      YOUR JOB

      As our new Nordic Environmental Sustainability Manager, you will have a pivotal role in driving our sustainability strategy and operations throughout the Nordic region (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland). Your responsibilities will encompass three main areas:

      • Reducing Environmental Impact
        Your leadership will be crucial in implementing our global sustainability strategy at a local level. You will be responsible for developing and managing initiatives that align with our sustainability goals. Additionally, you will oversee and enhance our capsule recycling programs, as well as facilitate our B Corp journey.

      • Ensuring Compliance
        You will play a vital role in ensuring that our Environmental Management systems meet the standards set by Nestlé, ISO 14001, B Corp, EU, and other relevant requirements. This will involve monitoring adherence to regulations, conducting audits, and performing reviews to guarantee compliance.

      • Advocating for Sustainability
        Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, you will actively promote Nespresso's sustainability goals. Your efforts will contribute to building internal knowledge and engagement around sustainability, fostering a culture of sustainability within the organization.

      By taking on this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our sustainability journey and contribute to a greener future. As this is a is a Nordic position, you can be based in our office in either Copenhagen, Stockholm, or Oslo. You will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders in your daily work, and you will report directly to our Nordic Customer Care Service Manager for Nespresso, who based in our Copenhagen office.

      To thrive in the position, you have a passion for environmental sustainability and are always looking to learn more within your field. You have demonstrated management capabilities, including the ability to lead, coach, engage, and influence. You have a strong ability to successfully lead projects and drive management. You are flexible and enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Additionally, the following qualifications are required:

      • 3-5 years of experience in a similar Environmental Sustainability role, preferably within an international business environment.
      • Relevant educational background.
      • Fluency in English, and ideally, proficiency in one of the Nordic languages (although not mandatory).
      • Effective communication skills with various internal and external stakeholders, including authorities and NGOs.
      • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and data visualization tools (e.g., Power PI or Tableau).
      • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10-15% of your working hours, primarily within the Nordics, with occasional travel outside the region.
