      This is a high profile opportunity to lead the implementation of Factory Automation and Digitization projects in the North America World Area including internally crafted projects and Emerson directed programs like MES, QMS, BPM, etc…) This role will research and recommend tools and deployment strategies targeted at growing efficiency, consistency and leverage in the organization. These programs will be integrated to form a customer focused strategy to increase Bookings, improve customer focus, reduce lead times, increase delivery performance and optimize internal processes. Understand complex business environments and build actionable projects intended to result in a Flow Control competitive advantage.
      In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
      • Developing and implementing Flow Controls North America World Area Factory Automation and Digitization Strategy:
        • Work with cross functional teams to identify, prioritize, and resource projects
        • Facilitate projects and develop expertise across the world area
        • Leverage standard processes to the benefit of the Flow Control Business Unit
      • Promoting Automation and Digitization
        • Help prepare for Profit Reviews and other Emerson Management Processes to ensure Factory Automation and Digitization is an integral part of our culture
        • Facilitate project teams to achieve improvements in the areas of Customer Focus, Sales Growth, Supply Chain optimization, I/T business facilitation, Finance, HR, Operations, Order management, Quality etc.
      • Striving for Perfect Execution
        • Continuously Improve the Automation and Digitization Process - Tools, Techniques, Analysis, Exhibits
        • Identify, document and leverage Best Practices across the various Business Units
        • Analyze market and internal performance data to find opportunities using a variety of internal IT systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
        • Provide recommendations for improving lead time and service levels through speed and flexibility.
        • Map information and material flow through a variety of business processes
        • Identify, document and leverage automation and digitization Best Practices from other Organizations
      • Communicating and Collaborating Across Multiple Sites
        • Engage with various levels of leadership to develop long-term relationships with the goal of becoming a trusted advisor.
        • Make Factory Automation and Digitization associated presentations to Executive Leadership as necessary
        • Must be able to understand complex business operations and disseminate that information to executive management effectively using analytical writing skills
        • Get results across the world area by using standard methodologies gathered through interaction with the larger Emerson organization.
        • Create opportunities to deliver the automation and digitization message to key customers and suppliers and collaborate on improvement opportunities.
      • Training
        • Train others in the organization on tools and process changes and generate excited among the larger employee population
        • Participate in Executive Leadership Training to drive cultural change across the company leaders
      For This Role, You Will Need:
      • Bachelor’s degree in technical subject area required.
      • Some combination of a minimum of 10 years’ experience in key functional roles such as automation, operations, supply chain, engineering, product planning, sales/marketing, quality, S&OP leadership etc.
      Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
      • MBA preferred
      • 5+ years of leadership experience with a strong track record of driving planning initiatives and aligning teams around organizational priorities
      • Proven experience leading planning initiatives within a manufacturing or automation-focused environment, aligning regional execution with global business objectives.
      • Deliver compelling presentations and communications that clearly articulate complex automation strategies, effectively influencing cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and frontline collaborators to drive alignment and adoption across all levels of the organization.
      • Demonstrated change management skills
      • Experience leading a significant change effort
      • Facilitation or consulting experience
