Job Description
- Req#: 16595
- Establish North America region standard for Smooth Change / Launch Related to Manufacturing Design, Production Control, and Logistics (Completeness Requirement for each gate) in order to achieve business KPI at launch for each.
- Continuously improve the tools and methods to evaluate plant capability and decide priority task and resources.
- On-site Assessments for each major launch or change in partnership with Plant Project Management to identify risks and develop improvement plan for each key milestone in the areas of:
- Human Resource capability in Manufacturing, Production Control and Logistics (headcount and skill)
- Manufacturing Design of the flow of goods throughout the plant from suppliers to shipping including external WH and Manufacturing requirements to achieve and maintain business KPI’s at target.
- Compliance to North American Standard Policies, Procedures, Tools and Management related to Manufacturing, Production Control and Logistics
- Direct Kaizen member for DENSO and affiliate activities linked to achieving business targets in both Planned and Urgent scenarios throughout the supply chain.
- Quickly access current condition, set strategy, organize resources and make action for immediate improvement utilizing Industrial / Supply Chain Engineering concepts and tools.
- Communicates effectively across multiples companies, captures/understands key data, and adapt to changes in work environment.
- Promote, facilitate, and coach Total Industrial Engineering related training programs for NA Specialist / Engineering skill development.
- Travel as required to support projects and department activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, or Other Industrial Management related Disciplines.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Industrial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain background
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong people and process management skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships.
- Embrace a fluid and diverse work environment.
- Comfort working individually and with teams at all levels of management.
- Working knowledge of Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Access.
- This job will require working in an office environment but also include significant time in manufacturing and logistical areas which may have specific PPE requirements.
- This job requires frequent sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and or pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, crawling, color determination and near acuity.

The North America Industrial Engineer will work as part of the North America Total Industrial Engineering department with the mission to strengthen NA Manufacturing Structure through the daily application and enforcement of Excellent Factory disciplines TIE, TPM, and TQM and Manufacturing Standards. NATIE is aggressively pursuing to establish a high-efficiency plant that can operate without relying on people and can flexibly respond to “Future environmental changes" and “fluctuations" without Production / Conveyance loss. Each team member has 4 key responsibilities which supports our department mission: Process Excellence (NA Health Assessment & Manufacturing Minimum Standards), Planning (Strategic Kaizen for Target Plants), Promotion (Direct Kaizen Support) and Emergency Support. This team focus to establish Manufacturing Design including Production Control and Logistics as a regional standard.
