      Key Responsibilities:

      ▪ Assist lead teachers with developing, preparing, and implementing lesson plans and IEP goals

      ▪ Reinforce learning through one-on-one and small group instruction for diverse learners

      ▪ Oversee students during non-classroom times, including lunch, recess, and field trips

      ▪ Assist with documentation of student progress and parent communication

      ▪ Support classroom management, behavioral interventions, and positive reinforcement strategies

      ▪ Participate in professional development, conferences, and meetings related to special education

      Qualifications


      Ideal Candidates Have:

      ▪ Passion for working with children with diverse abilities and special needs

      ▪ Strong communication and teamwork skills in educational settings

      ▪ Commitment to professional growth and development in child education

      ▪ Experience or interest in trauma-informed care and behavioral support

      Educational Requirements:

      ▪ High school diploma or GED required

      ▪ Associate's degree in education, special education, child development or related field preferred

      ▪ Paraprofessional certification a plus

      ▪ 2-3 years of experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly with special needs

      ▪ Knowledge of classroom management techniques and positive behavioral interventions
