      Job Description:

      In this position, you will lead multi-functional teams that executes all phases of the NPI (New Product Introduction) process for Articulated Trucks. You will play a key role in leading key programs from Launch to Post-Production with a keen eye on the Quality, Time, and Cost (Investments and Benefits) of the program. This role will be expected to run multiple NPI programs at the same time and participate in product strategy/business-related conversations. You will be responsible for identifying and finding improvement opportunities that exist across each of the different processes and executing strategies to address them.

      Job Duties

      • Leads activities defining NPI Program deliverables, scope, timelines and business case.
      • Develops overall NPI program schedule considering requirements of all teams involved from product development to validation and value chain readiness.
      • Creates, leads and coordinates Gate Reviews and stakeholder reviews.
      • Manages the NPI Program Team and keeps a close eye on any gaps to achieve program goals.
      • Acts as a link between all the teams involved in NPI Program execution to drive a consistent approach in gap resolutions and developing recommendation for leadership decisions.
      • Provides input into marketing strategies and customer messages related to products and markets impacted by the program.

      Basic qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited College or University.
      • 4+ years of project leadership experience.
      • 8+ years of progressively responsible job-related experience.

      Top Candidates will also have:

      • Prior experience of project leadership - NPI Programs, 6-Sigma projects, program technical lead etc.
      • Prior experience with value chain or product support functional areas.
      • Understanding of Product Development, Validation, Marketing and Business Planning processes.

      • Advises others on preferred tools, techniques and methods for estimating program cost and time.
      • Conducts regular and ad-hoc program reviews with stakeholders and senior leadership.
      • Coaches others in maintaining open communication among project managers and interested parties.
      • Oversees reporting requirements, and creates monitoring and control mechanisms.
      • Plans, estimates, staffs, organizes and monitors a set of projects within a program.

      Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
      Level Extensive Experience:
      • Develops, refines, and communicates tactical plans for program executions.
      • Provides the right level of detail as input for strategic plan development.
      • Demonstrates the value and necessity of linking tactical plans to overall strategic plan.
      • Ensures attention to the detail and dependencies of existing departmental-level plans.
      • Plans for allocation of resources in line with unit goals, technical and business objectives.
      • Ensures the planning process is integrated with the overall business plan.

      Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
      Level Extensive Experience:
      • Ensures capture of lessons to be learned from a problem-solving effort.
      • Organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts.
      • Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate.
      • Analyzes and synthesizes information and devises alternative resolution strategies.
      • Develops successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems.
